Dora is a native of Southern California and has a life long interest in improving the health of her community. Her publications and articles have focused on health reform through innovative and community based approaches to health improvement. Dora is the daughter of a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War and has a strong sense of commitment to our veterans and our first responders. She also has a deep appreciation for the power of faith in the healing process. Dora has appeared as a guest speaker for KVCR, The World Healthcare Congress, The Centers for Disease Control and has given numerous radio interviews to NPR. She is the founder of the Southern California Health Summit and continues to raise awareness regarding the importance of fiscally responsible health reform. Dora has a bachelor’s of science degree in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University and a doctorate in Public Health from Loma Linda University, where she is currently a faculty member in the Health Policy and Management Department. She is also the executive director and founder of a not-for-profit organization, Partners for Better Health, which promotes health initiatives in local communities.
